Flight of the Conchords!

Yesterday, me and my best friend Kaja went to see Flight of the Conchords’ gig!

IT WAS WILD!

We’re both long-time fans, so of course we were ecstatic to finally get to see the boys live. And guess what? Dave (Arj Barker) was there, too! He had his own stand-up show part at the beginning, and it was hilarious. And during the break, he came down to sign posters etc; and of course I got him to sign my ticket!

Here are some (horrible) pictures I took with my phone during the show.

Well, this is before the show had started.

I dim the lights down to very low, here we go! You’re so beautiful.. You could be a part-time model!

The show was beyond amazing, hilarious, and had all the essential Conchords songs.

During the song Inner city pressure, they changed the words to Oslo city pressure, which was hilarious. Also, they bashed us for doing whale hunting, tripped over their own words several times, and told us the infamous “Muffin story”.

Norway loved them, and they even did a double encore!
The first was with Business time, which was FANTASTIC, with Jermaine (and Bret, of course, but I just obsess about Jermaine) doing an obligatory sexy dance in a very flattering shining nylon suit.

The second encore was originally We’re both in love with a sexy lady, which suddenly just turned into Sugarlumps, which was intensely mindblowing. They went crazy, pulled a woman up on stage and took pictures of themselves with her phone, before giving it back to her. I am extremely jealous, to put it mildly.

All in all, AMAZING, CRAZY SHOW! I LOVED IT!

Of course we had to buy some band merch, but we’re sort of constantly broke, so we could only afford the Button set. BUT don’t get me wrong, the button set is AWESOME!

After the show, we walked home while eating some delicious ice cream.
When we got home, we watched some chick flicks, and all in all it was a great night.
